To continue to develop awesome web applications that delight millions of users.
I have logged innumerable hours working with HTML/CSS/Javascript, Flex/Actionscript, iOS and PHP. Even though I feel at home with these languages, I always welcome the challenge to work on other spectrum of web technologies, such as Java, .NET, C/C++, SQL and graphic design.
I joined Genex to be at the bleeding-edge of UI development. The company's fast-paced development cycle makes it crucial to create reusable and extensible UI framework that can accommodate wide array of use cases. I spent most of my time building and refining jQuery components such as datagrid, map control, form validations, modal dialog, and file upload. I have also implemented complex MVCS web applications such as online reservation system and location-aware campground finder using Google Maps API v3. Projects I have worked on include: acura.com, koa.com, toyotagkc.com, bhgrealestate.com, botoxcosmetic.com, cessna.com, kbhome.com.
Early on, I worked with a team of front-end developers to successfully launch Y! Music site-redesign, bringing the site out of the arcane COM and ASP platform to a modern PHP framework and semantic markup. A lot of effort was put into improving load and render time to make sure that the site can perform under stress.
In the later years, I spent my time developing web applications as follows:
I own and operate a few websites that generate a small income, including cgartworld.com, cssfreaks.com and flexfreaks.com.
I developed semantic and skinnable HTML/CSS/JS framework for various clients including Citigroup, Acura, Purina and Better Homes & Garden. I also developed several Flash/Flex applications for photographer and art student; notable projects include a Flickr mashup portfolio and a real-time animated stream of Twitter messages projected onto a ceiling.
I wrote rules and templates in XSLT and XML that integrates client-side code with server-side data for an online training website built on .NET environment (written in ASP, C# and JScript). I also wrote stored procedures for various data mining and client transactions reports.
I designed, developed and maintained a website that keeps track of upcoming campus events. The website was built using PHP and MySQL database, complete with administrative tool where authorized users can post events.
I upgraded the user interface on an account management tool to use a DHTML tree component. The new UI considerably reduces the number of page reloads required and improves the responsiveness of the tool.
I tutored freshman and sophomore level of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering courses.
